Ways of lightning waves invading communication stations
There are two types of five ways for lightning waves to invade communication stations.
(1) Lightning strikes the building where the communication station is located, causing overvoltage, there are two ways of invasion:
a──Lightning strikes the outside of the building, causing a transient voltage drop across the grounding resistance;
b──Lightning strikes the outside of the building and induces an overvoltage inside the building.
(2) Over-voltage strikes cause overvoltage, there are three ways to invade:
a──Lightning strikes the overhead power cable causing overvoltage;
b── lightning induced between the clouds to form an overvoltage on the power overhead cable;
c──Lightning strikes the ground at a distance, and the underground communication cable causes an overvoltage due to ground potential rise or induction.
